Other : 1997 Motion Capture
|
Around late 1997, Eidos was investing in motion capture, and more specifically, if the technology worked as intended, the company had plans to create an animated TV cartoon featuring Lara Croft. In a studio in London, a team were capturing gymnastic skills as well as facial animations.
Only through the TV show 'The Money Programme' has this ever been shown or mentioned, and the episode was titled 'The Rise of Britsoft', which originally was broadcast on November 30th 1997.
Also seen in the clip are snippets of a trailer for Tomb Raider 2, some animations that were used for the U2 Pop Mart tour and an unused line from Shelley Blond, as well as a short interview with some members of the Core Design team and Ian Livingstone from Eidos. |
