Tomb Raider IV-VI Remastered ~ The Difficult Dead Shot Trophy/Achievement

​I've recently been playing through Tomb Raider: The Last Revelation, trying to collect all the trophies. Because I am familiar with these games, my initial playthrough was to try and collect as many trophies as possible, with the idea of reducing the number of playthroughs that I have to do. For some reason, I always fail the all collectibles on the first run, but I don't worry too much. My second playthrough for the Last Revelation was the New Game +, and to be honest, I didn't find it that bad. I'm hoping to put together a little guide on how I got through it, so that it can help others who might be struggling. But after that second playthrough, I wasn't left with too many trophies to collect:
     - Welcome to Duat - Beat the game on New Game+
     - Oops! - Break every vessel in a single walkthrough
     - Dead Shot - Blow the skeleton's skull off when it is in a jump

​Ah, that last trophy really eluded me; I even chose to do New Game + instead of continuing to try for that trophy. I tried repeatedly during my first playthrough, using other peoples' advice to help, but sadly to no success. 

​One of the better places to try for this is in Coastal Ruins. You can control the route that skeletons have to take and neither skeleton can ambush you. What I discovered however was that the shields seemed to be adding a collision box to the skeletons, so that even if you aimed at their heads, the collision of the shield meant that the shot wouldn't hit the head. So I tried a little something, I tried removing the shield first and after a couple attempts (because it is also quite a tricky job to aim at the head of a moving target), I managed to get the trophy.

I would like to say that this is just a theory and I've sadly been unable to replicate it, but I'll leave it here in case it can help. I do also wonder if the sword has collision however this cannot be removed.

So here is my advice:

1. Before you trigger the flyby cutscene to introduce the skeletons, attach the lasersight to the crossbow, make sure it is normal ammo, and have it as the equipped weapon. Make a save.
2. Rush in, skip the flyby and hurry to the furthest corner. (see picture) If you've gotten to the corner before the skeletons have jumped off the U shaped platform, make a second save on a different slot. If you fail to get to the corner before the skeletons have left the U shaped platform, you'll have to reload.
3. Draw the crossbow. You'll want to aim at the spot where the skeleton will land after leaving the U shaped platform as their landing animation causes them to stop still for a few milliseconds, giving you that chance to aim and fire. This is the perfect spot to do this as their shield is facing you directly. Shoot the shield. Make a very quick new save.
4. Now aim towards their next jumping spot. That will be beyond the gap ahead of you. This is now for you to go for the trophy. You will want to get a few practise shots in to try and work out where to aim for. Good luck!!
