Photo Mode
For the second time in the franchise, Photo Mode returns (first game to include it was Shadow of the Tomb Raider). Although a little basic in the early version of the game, patch 2 included some interesting and more expansive features for creating creative photos. Such features included allowing players to move Lara around a small space on all axis, more poses and allowing players to move the camera more freely.

New Game +
New Game+ is not a new feature to the first 3 Tomb Raider games, however in the Remastered, it has seen a change on how the game plays. Originally, the classic new game+ gave players all weapons and unlimited ammo but the enemies had double health. In the Remastered, new game+ gets a lot harder.

Beta Content
Some fans might remember seeing beta screenshots of the TR2 Gold level 'Nightmare in Vegas', with Lara in a leopard print outfit. This outfit never made it into the original game, but developers of the remastered finally included it in patch 2.
Interestingly, there has been an addition of beta content. Tomb Raider 3 saw an addition of a small cutscene between the levels 'Nevada Desert' and 'High Security Compound', to improve the continuity between the two levels. In the original files, this cutscene file existed but was never triggered to play and it was only in recent years did a YouTube user called JRTombRaider manage to get the file to fully load.
A new move was included into Lara's TR3 moveset, a crawl-roll; this move can actually be performed in Tomb Raider 3: The Lost Artefact.

Outfit Selection
Fans had been asking for this feature since the release of the Remastered and in patch 3, it became possible via the Extras menu. Not only can players change Lara's outfit wherever and whenever they want, but they can also add on Lara's red sunglasses in the same menu instead of using the button combination and load save game cheat.

Instant Switch Between Classic and Modern Graphics
Switch Between Classic and Modern Controls
A modern control scheme has been added into the Remastered, allowing players to control Lara with an analogue stick and move the camera with the other analogue stick. For those who prefer the original control scheme, they can still use them too. Either can be picked from the Extras menu.
