The purpose of this website is not so much as to keep people up-to-date with the latest news, but to archive the franchise and to hopefully give off some nostalgic vibes.
You can expect to see a break down of every game, from weapons to levels to achievements, documents and outfits. Thankfully because of the encyclopedia, most of it is already written, we just have to put it on the website. We'd like for it to be quite detailed and in an organised fashion.
We originally started building this website in October 2020 and released it to the world on 25th October 2021. Then in April 2022 we applied to become a part of the official fansite program. This was finalised in July 2022.
About Us

Some quick info about us: Virtual-Lara is run by two people. We have been fans of Lara Croft and Tomb Raider since 1997 where we were introduced to the series by a friend of the family. The first Tomb Raider that we played was the very first game on the Sega Saturn, although as young ones, we didn't progress far through the levels, but we used to enjoy hanging out at Lara's home.
When we had access to the Internet in roughly 2001, we discovered various fansites, people who shared the same fascination for Tomb Raider that we did, as well as coming across new pictures and information about Lara. We started collecting merchandise in about 2010, and even when we think we've seen everything that was once released, there is often an item we've never come across before. However you could say that the first piece of TR merchandise that we collected, other than the games, was the 'Tomb Raider: The Angel of Darkness: The Official Companion'. It is a gorgeous book and is very treasured by us. We like to cosplay Lara from time to time too, but we don't take any pictures of it - rather, we like to incorporate Lara's outfits into our everyday wear. This was something we did before we knew that cosplaying was such a thing, but we had seen a fan (Jennifer Morgan) on 'Lara Croft: Lethal and Loaded' do it and it inspired us.
It seems that we don't like to be bored! We have various Tumblrs and a Flickr and quite a few projects on the go.
Virtual-Lara Tumblr is where we like to share news within the community, any history that we've come across in our research of Tomb Raider and to also share fan art and various projects.
Tomb-Raider-Merchandise is not only a gallery of merchandise (not just our own items) but also an encyclopedia of TR items, as we like to flesh out the history behind them and show when/why they were released.
Back in 2016, we revealed that we had been creating an Encyclopedia dedicated to Tomb Raider. It was something we had worked on for 4 years prior, and even now we are still updating it to include Shadow of the Tomb Raider and anything else that has happened up to 2021.
