The Tomb Raider 25 community livestream took place today at 7am PST on Twitch, featuring Rhenya, DutchyRaider, Piccadally, JaySamuelTV and the Crystal Team. In a surprise announcement, Tomb Raider publisher Square Enix has sold off a few of its western studios, Crystal Dynamics, Eidos-Montréal, Square Enix Montréal to Embracer Group, with franchises such as Tomb Raider, Deus Ex and Thief making the move. The $300 million sale is expected to be completed in July-September 2022. The acquisition includes the 3 studios, 1,100+ employees and back catalogue of 50+ games.

Over the past week, fansite Tomb-of-Ash has released the contents of the Lara Croft Style Guide as well as the Tomb Raider Angel of Darkness style Guide. You can download them from the Tomb-of-Ash twitter. Both style guides contain the original PSD files of renders, most with customizable layers, and game logos and PDF versions of the guides.

Weta Workshop has unveiled two new Tomb Raider statues. First shown on 21st July during Weta Workshop's 'Collectible Unleashed' video. After an article on the website 'The Wrap' appeared, written by Umberto Gonzalez, reporting that MGM has lost the rights to the Tomb Raider movie, it is now confirmed true by Crystal Dynamics, and that the movie rights have reverted back to them.

Weta Workshop has now put the two new 'Mini Epic' Tomb Raider figures available for pre-order. Lara on her own stands at 16.3cm tall and costs £34.04 (excluding taxes) whilst Lara with the raptor is 23.3cm tall, costing £85.10 (excluding taxes). Both were scultped by Mauro Santini. The mobile game 'Tomb Raider: Reloaded' now has its own official website. We first learnt of this from fansite 'Core-Design', and it comes about as Square Enix Montreal is renamed 'Onoma' due to the sale of the studio to Embracer Group. The content is mostly the same as what was on the Square Enix hosted site.
