When Lara finally has 3 days off from working, she asks the locals of Norway for a quiet place to rest. They suggest Kolvik but when she arrives, she meets old friend Charlie Bascom, a forensics scientist. Whilst looking at the crime scene, Lara spots a mysterious stone. After a bit of research and translating the text, Lara investigates the crime scene and her holiday is interrupted. She goes in search for The Golden Aquil and in the process, lift the curse set on Kolvik by the Nordic people who were held as hostages and made to fight for entertainment by the Romans.

The Golden Aquil
It was the last missing idol of the Roman Legions. It is a golden staff with a golden eagle with open wings perched on top. The Nordics took the staff and placed a curse on it before burying it in the ground of Kolvik. If anyone tried to remove it, they would be killed. After a battle, Lara and a fisherman come to an agreement. Lara takes the Golden Aquil to be melted into gold bars and they are placed in the ground to lift the curse.
