DESCRIPTION FROM OUR 'TOMB RAIDER ENCYCLOPEDIA': A turn-based card battle game that was released free on Apple App Store in December 2013. Players could pay for upgrades or card packs. However the server was shut down on 5th August 2014. It was developed by Square Enix Japan (Smile Lab) and RenRen Games. As with 'Lara Croft & the Guardian of Light', it didn't take place in the timeline of the games, but instead offered a nostalgic experience. Lara Croft wore an outfit with pieces from various other outfits- the 'Tomb Raider: Underworld' backpack and 'Guardian of Light' clothing. Music was also reused from previous games, as soundtracks featured were from 'Tomb Raider: Legend', 'Tomb Raider: Anniversary' and 'Tomb Raider: Underworld'. All players were Lara and they would battle against each other.
The story followed Lara through Central America, where she was rescued by fellow explorer and 'Warden' Teg Alexander. When she accidently opened a "door to a thousand doors", which could only be opened once every 500 years. Lara had to find a way to close them again. The door was meant to be guarded by the Wardens, of which Teg belonged to. She helped Lara find Ritual Necklaces; a set of six necklaces would seal a door shut. Lara fought many enemies, ranging from gorillas, leopards and cobras to Mayan War-Captains and versions of herself from parallel universes. Lara also fought with a variety of weapons, such as the Ctrus M-9 blade, UM Rifle and a MadBuff 1 Bow. Gameplay included mini games called 'Slice the Enemy' and 'Hit the Target'.
