Carter Bell
Lara describes Carter as a "rising star in archaeology" and thankfully he isn't a rival. He happens to be after the same artefact that she is. This is Carter's first appearance in the Tomb Raider franchise.

Isis
Egyptian Goddess, wife of Osiris and mother of Horus. In this adventure, she returns to this realm to help fight off the evil God Set.

Horus
When the Staff of Osiris was disturbed, Horus and his mother returned to this existence to fight against Set, and to help Lara and Carter remove the curse that is placed upon them.

Set
Thousands of years ago, Set ruled Egypt, but when his kingdom declined, he went to the underworld Duat in search for greater power. However, he found himself stuck there as only Osiris had the power to return from Duat. When Carter Bell touched the Staff of Osiris, Set was free to wreck havoc.

Osiris
In Egyptian mythology, Osiris unified the two kingdoms of Egypt and ruled with his wife, Isis. His brother Set became jealous and killed him. Isis used the power within the Staff of Osiris to restore him to the world, but only long enough to conceive a son. Set learnt of this and stole the staff, using it to imprison Isis and Horus before he tore Osiris' body into pieces. These were scattered across the land, where they remained until 2014.
