Story
During her research, Lara Croft comes across an old newspaper dating back to 1945, referring to a conflict over an Alaskan gold discovery and a secret fortified base on a small island in the Bering Sea. In the faded photograph, an Inuit whale hunter is holding what looks to be an ancient Golden Mask- quite possibly the Mask of Tornarsuk. Its powers include a great spirit entering the body of the mask wearer. Lara sets out to discover its current location.
In ‘The Cold War’ and ‘Fool’s Gold’, Lara is making her way through an old Soviet base to locate the mask. In ‘Furnace of the Gods’, Lara finds the Mask of Tornarsuk. In Kingdom, Lara meets Bigfoot again and fights the Guardian of the Kingdom. ‘Nightmare in Vegas’ is a bonus level and can only be played if the player has found all 12 secrets in the previous four levels. In this level, Lara finds herself in Las Vegas but things are not as normal as they should be.
