Enemies

Crow
You'll hear these enemies first before you see them. They don't take much to kill but they can be a nuisance if they get too close, making themselves hard to target or push Lara over an edge.

Dog
Dogs don't pose much of a threat when Lara is armed with a shotgun. Sometimes these dogs start life as stone statues, so keep a watch when you see them nearby and you'll always be prepared.

Castle Guard
Well, there's something to hide if there are guards around. You might be familiar with them from Tomb Raider 3; the first level of the Lost Artefact is generous with other weapons so you can either use them or just use your pistols to conserve ammo and try and stay behind their aim.

Piranha
You don't kill these, you avoid them... As best as you can!

FIRST APPEARANCE: It's a Madhouse

Highlander
Relentless enemy - will charge at Lara and swipe away at her with their swords. Two shots from the shotgun might be the fastest way to kill them.

FIRST APPEARANCE: Willard's Lair

SLinc Mercenary
Paid to protect something, these mercs will kill on sight, taking a last snipe at Lara before they die. Try using the MP5.

FIRST APPEARANCE: Shakespeare Cliff

SLinc Worker
Not really a threat; their only weapon is a wrench, so they have to get within touching distance to hit Lara. Use that to your advantage. Or, get the shotgun.

Rat
​A few shots from Lara's pistols will take care of a rat, even less with the automatic pistols, if you are happy to use other guns on these tiny enemies.

Pterodactyl
Not as difficult as one would expect. They will try to scratch Lara with their claws and will try and push Lara off the edge. Use the pistols - yes, the pistols - and they'll be dead in no time.

Scuba Diver
You can try using the harpoon gun to kill scuba divers but underwater combat needs a bit of getting used to. If you can ignore them until you can hop onto land, they might even come to the surface, making themselves easy prey.

Mutant Fish
Moves very much like a crocodile and attacks with its bite, like barracudas. Hope you got some underwater combat practice in with the divers...

Monkey
These scratch and claw, doing minimum damage but Lara will meet them in the monkey section of the Zoo, she will have to face off with more than one.

White Tiger
Tigers are an easy enemy however they can take a nasty swipe at Lara if she's unlucky. They are more dangerous when in pairs.

Vulture
Like many birds in the Tomb Raider series, they are hard to target, but once Lara gets a lock-on, it doesn't take much to take it down.​

Mutated Hybrid
We don't know what these are, a cross between two species or 'evolution' of a specie due to contact with the Hand of Rathmore? If you're in a safe position, use the MP5. If you're in their line of sight, maybe something bigger.

Zombie
Are these folks alive or...? They appear to be Sophia Leigh's failed experiments who now suffer with immortality. They carry a bat so try to keep some space between Lara and them.

Sophia Leigh
Wait, what's she doing back again? Maybe she did discover the secret to immortality. Well, the way to kill her is a little different this time. Her attacks are the same, short bursts of energy and a charged and deadly burst of energy. The level gives you a lot of rockets so make Sophia climb to a certain part of the level and use the Rocket Launcher.
