Professor Igor Bowmane
A trusted friend of Lara's, Professor Igor works at the University of Moscow. He asks Lara to meet his friend Illiat at a dig site in Peru, and so begins the adventure for the Nightmare Stone.

Quaxet
Quaxet was an evil king that ruled thousands of years ago over the Incas, Aztecs and Mayans. He sacrificed thousands of lives of his own people as offerings to an evil god who demanded blood to feed its spirit. His reign of terror continued for over forty years until the high priest of each tribe joined forces to defeat him. When they killed him, they condemned his spirit to the Nightmare Stone, which was sealed inside an Obelisk. The Obelisk was then buried within the walls of a temple.

Illiat
Illiat was the archaeologist that Lara was supposed to meet in Peru, however he was attacked by mercenaries and left for dead.

FIRST APPEARANCE: Royal Tombs A

Gold Hunter
A minor character seen going through the treasure of the temple. He helps Lara by telling of some vital items that she'll need, and she helps him in return by informing him of guardians that have been awaken by a curse.
