In the level 'Tomb of Qualopec', the boulder that Lara has to force to roll in the three-door room has Indiana Jones’ whip and hat, referencing the film 'Indiana Jones Raiders of the Lost Ark', except it suggests that he got flattened by it.
In Croft Manor, Lara is able to read various books plotted around. There are books that reference the Dagger of Xian, Charles Kane and the Maria Doria.
Croft Manor in the Nintendo Wii's version contains an extra room to display the various rubbings, taxidermy and trinkets that players may find.
In St. Francis Folly, there is a door which Lara has to shoot a certain pattern of stars to open a door. The mural on the door shows Perseus, the Grecian hero slaying Medusa, the snake haired woman. Interestingly, the pattern that the player shoots is in fact the real constellation of Perseus.
