1. Lara had worn two ear loops in Tomb Raider (2013) but the developers forgot to add it to Lara's model in Rise of the Tomb Raider.
2. Lara's red coat was originally grey blue (as seen in an early trailer) but when next to stones and ice, Lara blended in too much.
3. Lara's parents are still called Amelia and Richard Croft, as seen in 2006's Tomb Raider: Legend.
4. Karen O wrote the song ‘I Shall Rise’ specifically for the launch trailer of Rise of the Tomb Raider.
5. The assets (textures, objects etc) of the optional tomb the Baths of Kitezh are reused from the Flooded Archives.
6. Story tombs took three months to make and go through a lot of testing and edits. Optional tombs took one month as they share resources from the main game.
7. Square Enix Montreal helped to create the Challenge tombs, ones such as the Pit of Judgment.
8. Lara’s outfit in the Endurance Mode is similar to Amelia Earhart’s signature flying outfit.
9. When Sam was moved to a mental institution (as seen in the comics), Lara was forced to move out of their shared flat. She then picked an apartment in London, numbered 212.
10. There are a total of 333 collectibles throughout the single player story.
11. Lara’s in game model is made up of 200,000 polygons. 
12. There are 43 chapters in the game.
13. Some of the weapons’ names vary between Xbox and PlayStation, eg. The ‘Wreckoner’ axe on Xbox became ‘Reckoner’ on PlayStation and ‘Python Hand Cannon’ on Xbox is ‘Venom Hand Cannon’ on PlayStation.
