Lara's Inventory

At the start of a fresh playthrough, players will only have: a pair of pistols.

Lara's Passport
An important item used for travelling. Throughout the game, you may notice new stamps being added in. Used in game for saving, loading, starting a new game or quitting back to the main menu.

Compass
A usual item in any adventurer's gear, the compass will always point north. Though in the game, it isn't of any use, but it was probably meant to be used with the deleted map feature.

Torch
The torch will come in handy for lighting up any dark areas. In game, this item is only seen on the Sega Saturn version, and it is used to adjust the brightness.

Sunglasses
Lara's iconic sunglasses. She carries them with her for when she needs to shield the sun from her eyes. On PC and PlayStation versions, it is used to adjust details.

Hand Held Game
Whilst travelling, Lara plays a little bit of 'Pong' to help pass the time. On PC versions, this option allows you to adjust the controls.

Personal Stereo
Another way that Lara passes the time between travelling to destinations is by listening to music - in the form of cassette tapes. In game, you use this option to change the volume of sound and music.

Polaroid of Lara's Home
It seems that even sometimes, Lara gets a little homesick, though she doesn't carry the photo of her home with her on her adventures. On the main menu, the polaroid is used to get to Lara's home.
