Werner Von Croy
Once a mentor to Lara when she was 16, Von Croy becomes a little bit of a baddie in the game. It seems he is still bitter about that ordeal with the Iris. Part way into the game, he becomes possessed by the Egyptian god Set but in the end, it turns out that he still wouldn't want to see Lara dead.

Guide
The guide appears to be a neutral character to Lara, however she discovers that he was working for Von Croy.

Some interesting notes to do with a name for this character. In game he is never addressed by name. The program used in TRLE, 'WAD Merger', calls him 'guide' and the French magazine competition by Editions Atlas, called 'Tomb Raider Les Dossiers Officiels', give him the name 'Ahmed Ben Trayal'.

Jean-Yves
We don't know how exactly Lara knows Jean-Yves but he is a friend of hers. In 1999, he was working in Egypt, searching for Cleopatra's palaces when Von Croy turned up with his hired thugs. As an historian, he was able to help Lara in her predicament by offering her information found on Egyptian papyrus.

FIRST APPEARANCE: The FMV between the levels Valley of the Kings and KV5.

Sergeant Azziz
Sergeant in the Egyptian military, he was injured trying to fight the creatures that had suddenly plagued the city. Lara agrees to help him and in return, he gave his life clearing the way at the citadel gate.

FIRST APPEARANCE: Citadel Gate

Egyptian Soldier
This solider was already injured when Lara came across him in a garage in the street bazaar. When Lara tells him of how she is helping Sergeant Azziz, he gives her the Mine Detonator Body and says that another soldier had the Mine Position Data. She leaves him in peace.
