Special Moves
In this game, Lara has some fancy moves that players are not told about in the tutorial. Some are practical, some are familiar and some are just for the fun of it. However, some moves weren't brought over from the previous Tomb Raider games: the roll in mid air with a forward or backwards jump, and the mid air roll during the fall of a swan dive.
Backflip off a Ledge

A new gymnastic style move which looks amazing.
To Do: Have Lara stand facing away from the edge of a ledge, then hold Walk and press Action.

Roll off a Ledge From Crouch
|
This move is best performed on a platform that has a bit of high drop, as short drops look clunky. It can be performed onto ground and into water.
To Do: Whilst stood at the edge of a ledge, hold the Duck button and press Forward to get into a crawl position, and then press Action.

Jump Back Whilst Hanging From a Ledge
|
Another new move for Lara, she can turn and push herself away from a ledge, providing that there is a solid wall under the ledge.
To Do: Whilst hanging from a ledge, press the Look button and Jump button together.

Handstand
|
One of Lara's special gymnastic moves but it has no purpose other than to look good.
To Do: Whilst hanging from a ledge, hold Walk and press Forward.

Classic Push
|
AOD introduced new push and pull animations, however there is a combination to perform the classic push animation.
To Do: Hold Walk and press Action and Forward.

Swan Dive
|
Lara's famous swan dive.
To Do: Hold Jump, Look and Forward. 
|
Low Dive into Water
|
A new move to this game, Lara can perform an elegant dive into the water. Whilst in the water, Lara will swim on a little.
To Do: Press the Action button whilst standing at the edge of a ledge.

Roll into Water
|
Exactly like the 'roll off the ledge from crouch' move, Lara can perform a forward roll whilst standing at the edge of a ledge.
To Do: At the edge of a ledge, press the Roll button.

Moving on the Water's Surface
|
These moves have existed since Tomb Raider 1. In AOD, Lara can still stretch through the water side to side or backwards.
To Do: Hold Walk and press any of the direction buttons.
