In 1998, the German cult band Die Ärzte requested the appearance of Lara Croft as a virtual character in the video of their single, 'Ein Schwein namens Männer' (translated to 'All Men are Pigs'). SZM Studios and TRIBU teamed up to create it. The process required video capture of the band members on location and in the studio before Lara's presence was added, with Motion Capture. Special effects were added afterwards. The single went straight to No.1 in the German Media Control Charts and stayed there for 10 weeks. It was the biggest selling single in Germany for 1998.

The Munich company went on to create the 'Brigette' advert for German TV in 1999, again with the addition of a digital Lara.
