Eidos Takes To The Track
Eidos Interactive is now an Official Partner to the West McLaren Mercedes Formula 1 Team.
London (UK) 13 May 1999: Eidos Interactive leading world-wide developer and publisher of interactive entertainment products, is delighted to announce that from the Monaco Grand Prix, it will be an 'Official Partner' to the West McLaren Mercedes Formula One team, current World Champion and one of the most successful teams in the history of the sport.
As an 'Official Partner' of West McLaren Mercedes, Eidos Interactive will appear on the sleeves of the overalls of the drivers, Mika Hakkinen and David Coulthard. Whilst neither driver is quite in the image of Lara Croft, heroine of Eidos' most popular game 'Tomb Raider', they are equally capable of success as Mika Hakkinen has established with his Drivers' World Championship.
Eidos' products are predominantly designed for the PlayStation and personal computer hardware systems. The product strategy is to produce quality titles with an emphasis on gameplay and innovation and as such has one of the strongest product portfolios in the business. With offices in London, Paris, Hamburg, Tokyo, San Francisco and Singapore, they are indeed global players which is reflected in their choice of a Partnership with a truly global sport.
