Jaguar
A quick moving enemy but Lara's acrobatics should help in avoiding most of its attacks.

FIRST APPEARANCE: Bolivia

Unknown Entity
First seen in Peru flashback, its origins are unknown but this entity is able to kill just by grabbing and squeezing. Amanda was able to bottle it up into a mystic stone during the flashback excavation and later unleashes it in Kazakhstan firstly and then later Bolivia. The only weapon that would 'kill' him would be a certain legendary sword. Does anyone know where to find one?

Pitbull
Sadly, Lara has to kill more dogs, but these dogs have been trained to kill intruders. The Yakuza's and Rutland's choice of dog breed. Can have a nasty bite but either use Lara's acrobatics or keep back with a rifle.

FIRST APPEARANCE: Japan

Sea Serpent
One of those legendary creatures of medieval origins. Their means of attack is to bite or to use their long necks and sweep Lara off her feet. You don't actually have to kill this creature with firepower; it's going to need a bit more than that.

FIRST APPEARANCE: England

Snow Leopard
This creature acts much the same as the jaguar but you will usually take them on in smaller spaces, putting you in harm's way. It will attack either by biting or clawing at Lara.

Rutland's Mercenaries:

Rifleman
The easiest of enemy to kill. They use fast firing rifles but can be dodged by Lara's acrobatics.

FIRST APPEARANCE: Bolivia

Armoured Merc
These guys are a little tougher as they wear protective clothing. In fact, in England, there are guards that carry shields that can only be killed by explosions or Lara's dodging jumps. They also use rifles.

Shotgunner
The more painful mercs. These exclusively use shotguns but if you are feeling brave enough, have Lara jump over them with her dodge attack.

FIRST APPEARANCE: Peru | Nepal

Grenadier
As long as you keep moving and keep away from the grenades, these guys are probably the least threatening. A tip: you'll want to kill the grenadiers in West Africa quickly as their grenades will destroy any bridges and make traversal a little more difficult.

Vehicle Enemies
Any of the mercs can ride/drive the two sponsored vehicles in this game. There is no chance of avoiding damage in these bike levels, so don't worry about becoming a bullet sponge. The Jeep enemies do the more damage as they have more control with their rifles. Our only advice would be to get in close to make Lara's firing as accurate as possible. Even then, playing these levels on hard difficulty can be painful.

Yakuza:

Rifleman
Just like Rutland's riflemen, these guys are fast firing and have the ability to flank you, but they are easy enough to defeat.

Shotgunner
These guys use a more powerful, close range weapon than the riflemen but they also aren't a bother to take out. As always, just keep Lara moving to avoid most of the damage.
