Lara’s plane crashes in a cursed region in New Guinea, and her pilot dies. Lara soon discovers that this cursed region is haunted by an evil spirit as it chases her. Will anyone help?

He was once again Lara's pilot on their journey but whilst flying over a region known as the Zone of Death, the plane crashed and he was killed. Lara buried him there.

Chase Carver
Chase doesn't exactly appear in the issue but his image does, when Lara is trying to flee an evil entity in a region in central New Guinea. The entity had looked into her memories and noticed that he was the one person that she longed to see again. As Lara never had the chance to say her feelings or goodbye to him before he died, Lara said it to the entity instead.

There are two entities, one is good and one is bad, made to balance out each other. The bad one tries to harm Lara but the good one protects, transforming into the image of people that she would trust. The entities are trapped in the region known as the 'Zone of Death'. First the good entity transformed itself as Chase Carver, and it then it showed itself as an older man.
